Its water is deeper in the North and shallower in the South but is really great for swimming on both sides. Several waterside towns are worth visiting due to the abundance of spectacles and programs, like Tihany, Balatonfüred, Tapolca, Keszthely, Fonyód, Zamárdi, Siófok.
