The Főnix Club Hotel is in the holiday area of Hévíz, in a quiet, calm environment, only 1 km from the world famous Thermal Lake of Hévíz (Hévízi-tó).
The hotel, which has a friendly, comfortable atmosphere consists of 2 buildings, the apartments of which were realized according to two designs. The apartments of building “A” have two spaces (a living room with fridge, bedroom, separate shower, wc) and in building “B” apartments have one space (kitchen, living room, bedroom, separate shower, wc). Both types have balconies, wifi access, and are equipped with TV, telephone and room safe. Whichever apartment you choose, the content of this Huntels Deal remains unchanged: 2 or 3 nights of accommodation for 2 persons, half board catering, unlimited wellness use, free, closed parking lot.
In the a’la carte restaurant of the hotel local specialties are also served besides Hungarian and international meals in the course of the plentiful all you can eat breakfasts and menu selection dinners; you can accompany the delicious courses with the tasty wines of the region.
In the wellness unit you can have the perfect rest, recreation and relaxation. Thermal Lake of Hévíz

The Lake of Hévíz is the largest hot water lake of Europe with healing properties, famous not only for its curative effect but its unmatched view as well. The thousands of years old thermal lake is supported by the hot and cold water springs of a spring cave 38 m deep, rich in mineral substances. The temperature of the upcoming water is 38,5 oC at the source, the temperature of the lake varies between 24-38 oC, in accordance with the weather of the seasons, so it is suitable for swimming even in the winter. Besides the calming and at the same time refreshing effect of the lake the steady water flow has the effect of a gentle massage on the bathers. Due to its unique environment its wildlife is very special too; the red water lily introduced in the lake which blooms even in the late autumn is a beautiful sight.

Due to its special composition and the peat layer covering the bottom of the lake the effect of the thermal water makes a really wide range of use possible, in the field of prevention and care alike. For example: rheumatic musculoskeletal diseases, osteoporosis, degenerative spinal-joint diseases, Bechterew’s disease, in the chronic stage of inflamed joint diseases, for the post-treatment of wounds and musculoskeletal surgeries, pre- and post-treatment of rheumy of soft parts, secondary joint diseases, chronic, peripheral symptoms that can be traced back to mechanical causes related to the nervous system,   joint surgeries, after intervertebral disc surgeries, treating gynecological diseases.

Hévíz and its environment

Hévíz is the second most popular settlement of Hungary after Budapest, its main attraction is its special thermal lake in the frequented part of the town. The entrance to the lake bath and the mall of the town is connected by the Dr. Schulhof Vilmos promenade (Dr. Schulhof Vilmos sétány), under the shadow of plane trees and given colors by flowers. There are benches along the promenade, so if you get tired walking you can rest comfortably. The mall is surrounded by shops, restaurants, confectioneries, terraced cafés, and parks. You can find wine cellars in the cozy little town, where you can taste delicious wines and other gastronomical delicacies. Besides Hungarian cuisine you can eat international meals if you feel like it. You can come to the wine tastings on foot but you can also get on the little train departing from the center of the town as well. The special ambience of the tastings is made even more entertaining by live music. You can discover the town and its surroundings on foot, by bicycle and on Segway as well, and you can raise your adrenaline level in the neighboring Cserszegtomaj by hot air ballooning or paragliding.

There are several towns and smaller settlements close to Hévíz that offer an abundance of opportunities for rest, entertainment or swimming: Kehidakustány, Rezi, Keszthely, Gyenesdiás, Vonyarcvashegy, Tapolca, Sümeg, Nagykanizsa, Sárvár, Bükfürdő, Zalaegerszeg and Zalakaros.


Kehidakustány
is less than 14 km away from Hévíz. Kehida Termal Health Resort and Family Spa (Kehida Termál Gyógy- és Élményfürdő), open all year round, has 2 400 m2 water surface, 13 pools and more than 1 500 freely usable sunbeds for its dear visitors.  Its thermal water has Sulphur, calcium-magnesium hydrogen-carbonate in it, which is exceptionally good for treating primarily musculoskeletal and rheumatic diseases, and to prevent and treat nervous system, gynecological, dermatological and musculoskeletal problems. It has an important role in rehabilitation after accidents, since it significantly accelerates the healing process of injuries, broken bones.   
The bath is made up of thermal bath, beach bath, adventure bath, sauna world and healthcare parts. In the thermal bath part there is an outdoor sitting bath and swimming pool, and indoor weight bath, sitting bath and separate baths only for adults in order to achieve perfect recreation and healing. 
In the beach bath part there is a spa with water bar, wave pool, swimming pools and tanning terraces for those loving sunshine and water. In the three level indoor spa with a Mediterranean ambience you can find a really special 94 m long slide with light and sound effects besides the pools. There is a Finnish sauna in the sauna world with séances, infra sauna, steam cabin, aroma and music therapy cabin, hot tub, Kneipp treading pool. Health is one of the most important things in life; the bath excels in preserving it and in healing already existing illnesses. Mentioning a couple from the several types of treatments: aroma baths, water gymnastics, health massages, and musculoskeletal therapies. The Dino and Adventure Park (Dinó és Kalandpark), where the dinosaurs try to present the magic of the ancient, amazing creatures of nature in life size, with sound and movement, is in Rezi, in a 23.000 square meter park. Besides the moving, life-sized dinosaurs that have sounds ropeway, climbing wall, trampoline, hydraulic grapple, skeletons, fossils and bouncing castle can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.


Keszthely
is in the Western corner of Lake Balaton, so when visiting the town you can swim in the largest lake of Central Europe. Also it is worth visiting the Cadillac Museum (Cadillac Múzeum), the Doll Museum (Babamúzeum), the Vidor Toy Museum (Vidor Játékmúzeum), the Marzipan Museum and Confectionery (Marcipán Múzeum és Cukrászda), the Bacchus Wine Museum (Bacchus Bormúzeum) or the picturesque Festetics Palace (Festetics-kastély), among the permanent exhibitions of which you can find the Aristocratic Lifestyle Exhibition and Helikon Library (Főúri Életforma és Helikon Könyvtár), the Palm House (Pálmaház), the Hunting, Coach and Historical Model Railway Exhibitions (vadászati, hintó és történelmi modellvasút kiállítás). Besides the palace and the museums the town proudly presents several further spectacles, architectural masterpieces, exhibitions. Besides culture entertainment has an important role as well, concentrated in the vicinity of Balaton side beaches.


Lake Balaton
is the largest lake of Central Europe, 77km long and 14 km wide at some places. The Tihanyi peninsula (Tihanyi-félsziget) reaches into the “Hungarian sea” at its Northeastern part, the relief, flora and fauna of which attracts tourists.  It can be easily accessed from the Southern shore as well with a scheduled boat trip. The Balaton Highland National Park (Balaton-felvidéki Nemzeti Park), the Badacsony wine region and the Tapolca basin (Tapolcai medence) borders the lake from the North. Its water is deeper in the North and shallower in the South but is really great for swimming on both sides. Several waterside towns are worth visiting due to the abundance of spectacles and programs, like Tihany, Balatonfüred, Tapolca, Keszthely, Fonyód, Zamárdi, Siófok. Animals, plants, parks, boat riding, fishing, swimming, palaces, castles, gastronomy and music festivals, thermal baths and spas. You simply cannot be bored near the Balaton in any of the seasons, whether you choose water or land: pedalo, boats, ships, canoe, wakeboard, water ski, windsurfing, sailing, motorboat, flyboard, jet ski, water tours, water basketball, water volleyball, bungee jumping, land sports courses, horse riding, karting, amusement park, helicopters, plane rides, parachuting, paragliding, skydiving, hot air balloon, etc… You can watch outdoor theatre shows, or if you like festivals then you should absolutely visit the Balatonboglár Jazz and Wine Festival (Balatonboglári Jazz és Borfesztivál), several gastronomic events or such huge parties like Balaton Sound, B My Lake, Beach Festival (Strand Fesztivál) or the VeszprémFeszt.


Gyenesdiás and Vonyarcvashegy are on the Northwestern shore of Lake Balaton. near Keszthely. In Gyenesdiás the Eco-adventure Park (Öko-Kalandpark) is in a beautiful environment, a course system of 70 obstacles offers challenge in the park for the visitors. The park, made up of varied dexterity obstacles with different levels of difficulty, installed on trees, offer challenge, exciting, unforgettable experience, for children and adults, families and groups of friends alike. The Lidó Beach (Lidó Strand) is in the other end of the 3 hectares large forest, in Vonyarcvashegy; this beach offers a unique experience among the Balaton beaches. For example: surfing school, water skiing course, sports venues, fitness park, water taxi, pedalo, water aerobics, giant slide, minigolf, cycling, boating, sailing, fishing, playgrounds, water stage, animation programs, buffets, restaurants, events. Its sandy shoreline and children’s pool also enhance the joy of the little ones.


A matchless exhibition presents the wonderful world of karst regions while boating in the Lake Cave of Tapolca (Tapolcai tavasbarlang). The special spectacles of 10 rooms guide you to the world of mysterious caves. 
Tapolca is part of the Balaton Highland National Park (Balaton-felvidéki Nemzeti Park), the unique flora and fauna of which amaze its visitors. 


Sümeg
is also worthy of visiting; if you explore the area, the Castle of Sümeg (Sümegi Vár) has exhibitions, events, and the Historical Experience Park (Történelmi Élménypark) has jousting to make the time spent here unforgettable.    


Nagykanizsa
